I hate to say I told you so, but the winter has been legitimately more active than the last few years.  Current cumulative totals are trending with a 12 year study by Michigan Tech students.  Last year at this time, our total cumulative snowfall was 90″ and we are pushing 115″ so far; only 9″ from a 12 year average.  This is not only good for the snow removal industry, but many plants that reside outdoors e.g. trees, perennials, bulbs, and any overwintering plant material need moisture from snow melt to survive in the winter.
